The body of scientific and technical knowledge related to the adoption and use of information technology, in corporations and society, includes:
- Models, theories and conceptual schemes about human and social phenomenon that involve access and providing information, in particular when information technologies are used.
- Models, theories and conceptual schemes that include the use of information and information technology in corporations and society.
- Information technologies and its uses.
- Methods, techniques and tools directed at performing organizational or societal intervention activities that view the adoption and good use of information technologies, providing applications from such technologies, creating and managing information services in organizational or societal context and managing the use of information and information technologies in organizational or societal context.
